Here’s how it works:

Team portfolio

Whatever you’re studying you can submit an application, which means you end up in our ‘team portfolio’. When a startup company needs help, we look through the portfolio for suitable people. Your interests and skills are then matched to the needs of our companies.

Matchmaking

When we find a match, we book a ‘no strings attached’ meeting between you and the startup team. If everything goes well we’ll then agree on an assignment that you can complete alongside your studies. Assignments can be short or longer term - that’s something you decide together with the team.

Your own company

As a student entrepreneur you will initially work as a consultant in the startup team and need to have what’s known as F-tax status. We’ll provide guidance when starting up your own company and advice regarding bookkeeping and invoicing. If you don’t fancy running your own business you can also use other invoicing solutions.

Fees

Our student entrepreneurs usually tell us the best thing about assignments is the invaluable experience they receive. They also get an agreed project fee depending on the scope of the project.

Application and test

In the application form you get a chance to tell us what you can do, want and dream about. After submitting it you’ll be asked to take a personality and logic test organised by Alva Labs, which further helps us create the right match. (Read more below.)

Personality and logic test

Upon submitting your application you will immediately receive an invitation from Alva Labs to take a personality and logic test. The purpose of the test is to give you the best opportunity to showcase your full potential and give us a good basis for successful matches. The results are not made public and will only be processed internally at Uminova Innovation. You’ll also receive comprehensive feedback from the test. So take this opportunity to take the test - your chances of being matched with the ideal startup company increase significantly if you complete it!
