The arrival test period is 14 days. Followed by a contract if successful.

No of hours per week:

Minimum 40 hours a week, Average is between 40 and 48 hours a week. Minimum one day free a week but often two days.

Normal current work shift is morning based from 4.30 AM to 12 Noon (midday).

Pay per hour:

Euro 18.75

Type of contract:

Swedish Self Employment recruitment (expected fiscal expenses 37%) alternative posted self- employment permitted (Swedish F-skatt rules apply).

Qualifications:

Overall assessment of positive details such as:

English well spoken (compulsory)
All additional languages are a plus (especially Swedish, Ukrainian, Russian, Finish, and Norwegian)
Social and positive, with the ability to connect, well fit for dealing with guests/clients
Experience working with cash registry is a plus
Driver’s licence B is a plus
Positive to teamwork
Positive to physical work
Having good health condition
Documented experience and references from hospitality sector and/or studies is a plus

Thought candidate Profile:

A candidate who is morning alert. Self-propelled. Happy and smiling to the guests, forward, always on their toes and running around the buffet, kitchen and reception to make sure everything is nice and welcoming, a TEAM PLAYER

Selection process:

Assessment is done first from CV with possible online interview to select candidate. Candidate can also make short video presentation of them self to share.

Once a candidate is approved, the candidate will have to sign a probationary agreement that is for the 14 first days of test period. If approved after 14 days candidate will sign contract for the period.

(14 days test do not apply to candidate’s resident or prior resident in Sweden, in such cases arrangement have to be done on a case to case basis with a short none paid test at arrival).

Task:

Waiter with some hotel tasks.
The task can include more such as:

– Receive guests

– Receive orders and handle payments from guest

– Serve food and drinks

– Assist with cleaning and arranging the restaurant

– Assist with the maintenance of the buffet

– Handle dinner serving and preparations

– Keep the restaurant clean and tidy

– Check-in and out guests at the hotel

Example of a day:

Breakfast: Unlock in the morning, light up and prepare for upcoming breakfast guests. Pick out the cold breakfast food, make coffee and tea, and prepare the hot food scrambled eggs, bacon, meatballs and sausages. Take away from buffet and table. Prepare for the coming day, prepare cold breakfast and warm as much as possible for the next day. Meet guests for check-out in the common reception; take payment at the till invoicing documents from companies, note checked-out hotel rooms for cleaning. Restaurant and kitchen cleaning. Help clean the hotel. Prepare conference coffee, for example, a pot of coffee and sandwiches with some accessories.

Note, a busy day it’s about 30 guests for breakfast and calm day it’s about only 5-7 guests so there is plenty of time to manage tasks.

The ultimate client:

Established medium-sized city hotel. Staff is mixed with Swedish management and current staff from Sweden, Finland, Ukraine, Burma and Malaysia.

Accommodation:

Several accommodation solutions some with higher standard with a charge. Accommodations solutions can be shown at interview for the position.

Accommodation follows Dolphin Group minimum standards including WIFI available. Apartment based with individual room. Kitchen and toilets. WIFI at accommodation.

The accommodation is located in the town of Pajala (Largest town in the area with all necessary amenities including supermarkets, ATM machines, pharmacy, shops, gyms, sports clubs and a bath house). This is in proximity to the hotel.

Client provide bikes. Cars can be rented for private use.

Lots of possibilities on free days to enjoy the nature and get to know the location.

Note that summertime its mainly a light period of the year with about two months with midnight sun.
