Join us as a Manager Industrial in  Gothenburg Sweden, to lead our organization of Industrial solutions.

 

 

Your future role 

As manager for Industrial you will have responsibility for the people, the Industrial program portfolio, and the Gothenburg office itself. This will include a diverse set of responsibilities such as program execution, resource- and competence-management, health and safety, ownership of development tools, processes, and improvement plans. In summary you will have full ownership of Alstom’s industrial solution targeting freight and mining projects and be responsible for the Gothenburg site.

 

You will be part of the Development Center Sweden Leadership team reporting to the Director of Development Center Sweden, located in Stockholm.

 

You will lead an organization of about 50 people in their daily work and as Site Manager you will be indirectly responsible for an additional 10-15 people from other organizations working out of the Gothenburg office.

 

Your responsibility will include ensuring that our engineering activities are delivered in the most efficient way and in compliance with Alstom processes through an aligned governance structure and the right key performance indicators. You are involved in managing the value-stream from bid until commissioning and ensuring we evaluate our bid and project capabilities. You will work closely with your team as well as external stakeholders and colleagues in our global Mainline organization to ensure scope, budget, and planning adherence.

We'll look to you for:

  • Lead and manage a large organization of engineers to achieve defined targets.
  • Manage capacity and competence planning in close collaboration with the development programs and projects.
  • Develop customer relationships to align long-term road maps and ensure continuous improvements in both quality and functionality.
  • Develop ways of working to adhere to Alstom processes and tools to be aligned with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of our deliverables, innovate and improve on our existing solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment in Gothenburg
  • Build capabilities to drive the development of railway signaling solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

 

 

 

All about you:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of successful experience in leadership, leading large technical teams.
  • Good experience in project management leading global projects.
  • Experience in leading global teams with cultural differences.
  • Experience working with all phases of software engineering in embedded development projects.
  • Experience of test and development in safety-critical or other complex systems development.
  • Experience mentoring and developing line- and program-managers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.
  • Experience with safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent is a plus.
