About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a leading banking technology team in Stockholm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC and Snowflake , with proven experience in the banking or financial services sector . You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and solutions that support critical banking applications, regulatory reporting, and analytics initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter/IDMC .
- Work with Snowflake for data warehousing, modeling, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver robust data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with banking and financial regulations .
- Support regulatory reporting, risk, and financial analytics through high-quality data engineering solutions.
- Perform data validation, profiling, and reconciliation across multiple banking systems.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing ETL workflows and database performance.
- Contribute to UAT of Snowflake implementation within the bank.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field .
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer / ETL Developer in the banking or financial services domain .
- Strong hands-on expertise with Informatica PowerCenter (ETL)/IDMC .
- Experience with Snowflake/Teradata (SQL, data warehousing, performance optimization) .
- Solid understanding of data modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data warehouse design .
- Knowledge of banking domain data (e.g., customer, transactions, risk, compliance, treasury, credit).
- Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning techniques .
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in agile / collaborative environments .
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tools .
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, BCBS 239, IFRS 9).
- Knowledge of additional ETL tools, BI tools, or scripting languages (Python, Shell).
