Android Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Telia Play applications for Android devices, especially Android TV.
• Design and optimize applications for performance, scalability, automation, and smooth release flows.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement modern architecture and coding standards.
• Build user experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, GraphQL, and the team’s design system.
• Manage Git workflows, maintain high test coverage, and support high-quality delivery.
• Address TV-specific capabilities such as remote controls, voice interaction, and accessibility where applicable.

Requirements

• Strong experience building scalable, high-quality applications for Android TV platforms.
• Solid proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Ability to design and implement advanced architectural patterns and performance optimizations.
• Experience driving automation and shaping smooth software release processes.
• Ability to manage Git workflows and maintain high test coverage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with widely used consumer applications, GraphQL, DASH, and HLS is a plus.
• Experience with TV-specific hardware, voice interaction, or Android accessibility tools such as TalkBack is a bonus.
