Master Thesis: Ecosystem services

Today many forest owners lack forest data at a detailed level. At the same time, forest management could be conducted both more profitably and sustainably if we had high-quality digital decision-making data for the prevailing state of the forest. To this end Arboair is leading the transition to a digitized, sustainable precision forestry with high precision image analysis driven by AI algorithms.

The world needs ways to promote bioversity, carbon capture and nature experiences. The forest is a source of all three and to meet the needs we need good information at the right time. Arboair can provide that information, then comes the question. How to utilise that information at the right way to promote a credit system for ecosystem services?

Therefore the aim of this research would be to try to design a method where Arboairs information is used to create credits for forest owners.
