Mobile App Engineer (iOS / Android)

At Future Ordering we are providing a digital ordering platform for global restaurant brands. Today we operate in ten countries with millions of transactions every month, supporting brands such as Max Burgers, KFC, Burger King, Bastard Burgers, and Sushi Yama.

We are now looking for a Mobile App Engineer who wants end-to-end ownership of our mobile applications - from native app development and releases to customer collaboration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements in production environments.

About the role

The Mobile App Engineer combines hands-on native mobile development with customer-facing technical ownership. You will build, maintain, and evolve Future Ordering’s Android and iOS applications while supporting customers in releases, troubleshooting, platform requirements, and operational improvements.

You will take technical ownership of Future Ordering’s native Android and iOS applications and play a key role in how our apps evolve across international markets and customer environments.

The role includes communication with customer stakeholders regarding app functionality, releases, technical requirements, platform changes, and operational improvements. You will work closely with Customer Success, Service Delivery, Support, and Development teams to ensure stable, compliant, and high-quality app experiences.

This role could be a great fit if you are currently working as a Mobile Engineer, Android Developer, iOS Developer, or Mobile Consultant and want broader ownership across native app development, releases, production environments, and customer-facing technical collaboration.

You will work hands-on with Kotlin, Swift, native Android and iOS applications, App Store Connect, Google Play Console, kiosk solutions, MDM environments, and production mobile applications used across international markets.
Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve native Android applications using Kotlin.

  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve native iOS applications using Swift.

  • Own app publishing, updates, and release management in App Store Connect and Google Play Console.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve app-related issues across Android and iOS platforms.

  • Support kiosk devices, managed device environments, and MDM-related configurations.

  • Configure and support Android kiosk solutions and locked device environments.

  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers regarding mobile apps, releases, platform requirements, and troubleshooting.

  • Communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical customer stakeholders.

  • Support customers in app-related decisions, platform requirements, and operational improvements.

  • Coordinate app-related activities across Customer Success, Service Delivery, Support, and Development teams.

  • Improve release routines, technical documentation, operational processes, and customer communication.

Requirements
  • +3 years of experience in native mobile app development within a SaaS or software environment.

  • Very strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kotlin development and native Android applications.

  • Very strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Swift development and native iOS applications.

  • Proven experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting production-grade mobile applications.

  • Experience with App Store Connect, Google Play Console, and mobile app release and publishing processes.

  • Experience with Android kiosk solutions, MDM (Mobile Device Management), and Managed Google Play.

  • Ability to independently structure, prioritize, and drive technical work forward.

  • Strong ownership mentality for release management and app publishing across both Apple App Store and Google Play.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in English and Swedish is required.
