Design & Component Responsible - Canning Systems (Hot End)

We are looking for an experienced Design & Component Responsible to join an automotive engineering team in Gothenburg. The role focuses on component design and ownership within Canning Systems / Hot End applications.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of assigned components from concept through production.
Develop and maintain component designs using CATIA V5 .
Create and review 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Collaborate with suppliers and manage technical discussions.
Support design reviews, verification and manufacturability activities.
Work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing and purchasing teams.
Drive design improvements, technical problem-solving and production readiness.
Requirements
8+ years of relevant automotive engineering/design experience.
Strong hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
Experience as a Component Owner, Component Responsible or Design Engineer.
Experience with supplier interaction and technical coordination.
Strong knowledge of automotive product development and mechanical design.
Experience with engineering drawings, specifications and design documentation.
Good understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturability.
Nice to Have
Previous experience with Volvo Cars / VCC.
Experience with Hot End / Canning Systems.
Background in exhaust, thermal or high-temperature automotive components.
Experience from an automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier.
