ABOUT THE ROLE
As Global Social Media Manager, you will lead and evolve Fjällräven’s global social media presence, ensuring our organic channels make a measurable contribution to brand communications, engagement, and community growth. You will define the global social media strategy, frameworks, and best practices that guide how Fjällräven operates across markets while balancing global consistency with local relevance.
Working closely with PR, Influencer Marketing, Creative, and local market teams, you will drive integrated storytelling, strengthen Fjällräven’s lifestyle and outdoor positioning, and ensure social channels remain innovative, insight-driven, and community-focused. The role also includes leading the global social media team, managing budgets and boosting strategies, and safeguarding brand integrity across all social touchpoints.
This is a temporary role for 12 months, reporting to Global Head of Brand Communications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In more detail you will focus on the following:
Lead Fjällräven’s global social media strategy, ensuring alignment with brand communications, PR, and campaign priorities
Develop and oversee the global social media calendar, platform strategies, and content direction together with the Social Media Content Specialist
Produce social-first live content from events in collaboration with the Social Media Content Specialist, local markets, and creators, supporting campaign activity through timely publishing and fast turnarounds across platforms.
Establish and maintain global social media frameworks, guidelines, and best practices across local markets
Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, Influencer Marketing, Creative, and local teams to deliver integrated campaigns and unified storytelling
Monitor performance, social listening insights, and audience trends to optimize content, engagement, and community growth
Manage social media budgets and boosting strategies to maximize reach and performance
Lead and develop the global social media team while supporting community direction, reputation management, and crisis readiness
Pilot and scale new social formats, channels, and storytelling approaches that strengthen Fjällräven’s global brand positioning
WHO YOU ARE
We think you could be a great match for the position if you possess the following traits and capabilities:
5+ years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, or digital media within a global brand environment
Proven experience developing and implementing successful global social media strategies that drive engagement and brand growth
Strong understanding of social-first storytelling, content strategy, audience engagement, and social platform trends
Experience leading teams and collaborating cross-functionally with PR, influencer marketing, creative, and local market stakeholders
Data-driven mindset with experience in social listening, performance analysis, reporting, and optimization
Strong understanding of boosting strategies, budget management, and paid social amplification
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate fast-paced and evolving environments
A collaborative, proactive, and future-focused mindset combined with a genuine passion for outdoor culture and community-driven brand building
