The position

We are looking for an experienced Technical UX/UI-Designer with an eye for quality and great design to join our UX/UI craft. The craft is small and cross-functional, requiring its members to be highly cooperative as well as excellent communicators and listeners. We are responsible for all the UX/UI in the game, web, and launchers, working with several different teams to create a great user experience for players from start to finish.

The team's small size gives all members a lot of independence and influence over the work. We support each other, challenge each other's designs as a craft, and, of course, experiment and take risks together. At Star Stable there are many projects ongoing for the craft, offering opportunities to make an impact and pursue your passion.

This position will focus on supporting a team that develops live updates, while also participating in long term projects involving planning, research and development. 

Responsibilities

• Create prototypes in different fidelity, test and iterate based on feedback

• Implement and script designs in our game UI engine as well as solve bugs connected to your design

• Work with producers and cross functional teams to help plan and estimate work

• Create design documentation to communicate and inform both team members and stakeholders

• Co-ordinate, co-design and plan together with game designers, artists and programmers

• Support game design with deliverables such as user journeys, user flows and information architecture

• Researching player needs, behaviours, and motivation to inform you own design as well as support decisions in game design

• Be comfortable with creating and working with user journeys, user flows, information architecture or similar

• Coach and support junior UX/UI-Designers, as well as game designers, artists and other colleagues in your expertise

We think you

• Have at least 3 years of experience working with UX/UI for games

• Are used to working in engines such as Unreal and design tools such as Figma

• Either hold a degree, or similar, in interaction design or UX, or can prove you have learned the right things on your own.

• Love working together with others and are a good listener and communicator

• Have great understanding of interaction design and UX principles

It's a plus if you…

• Have experience with designing for mobile games

• Know how to use qualitative research methods such as surveys and interviews

• Can plan, execute and act on user tests on your own

• Have good knowledge of UX processes
