Content Lead

Auctionet is a marketplace where auction houses from Sweden, Great Britain, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Denmark sell furniture, art, design objects, collectibles, and much more. We are now looking for a Content lead who wants to be part of our team and contribute to our growth and brand positioning across existing and new markets .

About the Role

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role. You'll be the person who defines what Auctionet sounds like – across every channel, every touchpoint, and every stage of the customer journey. We have a product people genuinely love, with strong word-of-mouth and loyal users and we need you to help us take our brand voice and story to another level. This is a strategic yet hands on role, so you'll need to be comfortable doing as well as directing.

You'll report to the CMO and work closely with performance, lifecycle, specialists, and commercial.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Content strategy & brand voice – Define and own our messaging framework and content pillars across all markets and channels to help position our brand as well as ensure consistency in our tone-of-voice

  • SEO & AEO – Drive our organic visibility strategy from keyword research and on-page content to positioning for AI-driven search

  • Email & CRM – Optimise content for customer lifecycle flows– welcome, activation, retargeting, win-back together with the lifecycle team

  • Paid content – Develop campaign concepts and messaging layers for paid campaigns in collaboration with brand design and head of digital marketing

  • Organic social – Own the overall content and campaign calendar and adapt our story for each platform

This role is based in Stockholm, with the possibility to work remotely one day per week.

About the Team

You'll be the 13th team member of the marketing team, consisting of a team of specialists across performance, social media, item specialists, brand design and lifecycle marketing.

Auctionet has around 170 employees and is the parent company of a wider group with approximately 400 colleagues across multiple countries. Our main office is near Stureplan in central Stockholm, with logistics centers in Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Westbury, and Cologne.

About You

You understand that great content doesn't just inform — it moves people. You know how to write in a way that awakens emotions and makes them act, and you know why it converts.

You're someone who thinks in systems as much as stories. You can zoom out to set a content strategy and zoom in to fix a headline. You're comfortable being the one who sets the direction — but you don't wait for someone else to execute it.

You care deeply about brand, but you know when to adapt and when to hold the line. You're equally at home in a performance brief as in a brand workshop, and you know how to connect the two.

To succeed in this role, we think you have:

  • Profound experience in content marketing, ideally at a B2C company with a transactional or marketplace model

  • Experience in brand positioning and understand how to navigate that through communications, messaging and campaign concepts in an international environment across several channels and markets

  • Proven SEO and AEO experience: you've driven organic growth, not just written articles

  • An analytical and curious mindset where you are used to GA4, Search Console, and email metrics

  • Comfortable owning end-to-end content production in a lean team

  • Near-native or native written English

Bonus and not mandatory:

  • You've been part of a brand journey that actually landed — new market, new audience, or new positioning — and you owned a real piece of it

  • Experience with marketplaces, e-commerce, or auction platforms

  • Having built a content function from scratch

  • UK English is a plus

Our Recruitment Process

We have a straightforward process without unpleasant surprises.

We'll start of with a short phone interview and greet just to get a feeling if we could be right for each other or not.

We then have a few meetings (usually two or three) where we talk about you, the role and Auctionet - and you get the chance to talk to the people you will work closely with. In the process, we will also ask you to do a small take-home exercise. And in the end, we hope it feels like the perfect fit for both of us!
